SYNOPSIS: Daisy cannot believe Meg’s insensitivity. Meg claims to be her friend, claims to care about her deeply. So how could she possibly think that blindfolding Daisy and bringing her out onstage, taking off the blindfold to reveal that they are in front of a live audience, then blackmailing her into staying out there with her for an impromptu, 45-minute show about the two of them…how could Meg think any of this was a good idea? As the event proceeds, though, this comic situation turns dark as we learn that the “play” is actually rooted in Meg’s unconscious need to relive her own past with her drug-addicted mother. Meg’s cruelty has a history, one of false hopes, abandonment, and death. Once she understands what Meg is really doing, Daisy vows that their friendship will defy this cycle and forge a new one.
